Before joining eOne, Merritt was the Founder of Mad Ave Entertainment, a company she created to develop television, branded entertainment and digital content. With Mad Ave Entertainment, Merritt sold and developed shows with TLC, Up, VH1 and HGTV.  Mad Ave Entertainment, along with Asylum Entertainment, most recently received a second-season pick-up of HGTV’s successful franchise show Flip or Flop: Nashville.

Prior to Mad Ave Entertainment, Merritt was Senior Vice President of Series and Development at Ish Entertainment, where she oversaw the West Coast development.  While at Ish she developed and shepherded a number of projects including All About Aubrey (Oxygen), Fix My Family (WeTV), Girlfriend Confidential: LA (Oxygen), Empire Girls (Style), T.I.’s Road to Redemption (MTV) and 50 Cent: The Money and the Power (MTV).  Simultaneously, Merritt helped spearhead the packaging and sale of the Google YouTube Channel, Uno Dos Tres, a Hispanic digital channel targeted at second- and third-generation Latinos. Merritt began her career in New York working for VH1, CMT and Logo in Acquisitions and Co-Productions.

“With their already impressive slate of hit shows and successful renewals, I am thrilled to join Tara and the team at eOne. I look forward to working with the best creative partners in the business and bringing continued innovation and growth to eOne’s slate,” said Merritt.
