Jackson Pictures Enters Into a First Look Deal with eOne
LOS ANGELES, CA – August 24, 2018 – Seasoned producer Matt Jackson will launch Jackson Pictures which will maintain a first look agreement with Entertainment One (eOne). Jackson joined The Mark Gordon Company (MGC) as its head of film prior to eOne acquiring its remaining stake in MGC in early 2018. Preceding the integration of MGC into eOne, Jackson oversaw film operations including the development of projects as well as identifying feature film content for co-production and acquisition. Jackson is best known for producing films MOLLY'S GAME, END OF WATCH and SOUTHSIDE WITH YOU. eOne's Joanne Lee will also join Jackson Pictures as Vice President.

Prior to joining MGC, Jackson led development and production at IM Global as the President of Production, where he produced THE JOURNEY helmed by Nick Hamm starring Timothy Spall, Colm Meaney, Freddie Highmore and John Hurt; and THE SECRET IN THEIR EYES based on the Academy Award® winning Argentinian film and starring Julia Roberts, Nicole Kidman and Chiwetel Ejiofor. He also executive produced Gary Ross' FREE STATE OF JONES starring Matthew McConaughey which was released by STX Entertainment in 2016; Eran Creevy's action thriller COLLIDE starring Nicholas Hoult and Sir Anthony Hopkins; and Joost and Schulman's horror thriller VIRAL.
Before arriving at IM Global, Jackson served as the EVP and Head of US Production at Exclusive Media and produced Gillian Flynn's novel adaptation of DARK PLACES starring Charlize Theron, as well as Peter Landesman's JFK picture PARKLAND. He also produced SNITCH starring Dwayne Johnson and Academy Award winner Susan Sarandon. Before joining Exclusive Media, Jackson served as Senior Vice President of Production at The Kennedy/Marshall Company for three years. He has also held executive production and development positions at Paramount Pictures and Universal Pictures. Jackson is a graduate of Morehouse College and has been a member of the PGA since 2013 and AMPAS since 2017.
