Toronto/London – November 19, 2012 - Entertainment One (eOne) is delighted to announce the record-breaking box office success of Breaking Dawn – Part 2.Released on Friday, November 16, the film has already generated CAD $9.3 million in Canada and £15.8 million at UK cinemas - nearly £2 million more thanThe Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1, which previously held the title of the highest opening for the franchise in the UK.

The #1 film across the globe this weekend, eOne holds rights in all media to the hugely popular film series The Twilight Saga in Canada as well as the UK. From leading studio Summit/Lionsgate and based on Stephenie Meyer’s best-selling novels, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 is the intense conclusion in a series of five films, which star Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner.  The film is directed by Academy Award® winner Bill Condon from a screenplay by Melissa Rosenberg.

In the UK, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 takes the prestigious title of the 4th highest grossing 3-day weekend of all time behind Harry Potter and newly released Skyfall, making it the highest three day opening in history for an American film in the UK and reporting the biggest Friday of the year with £6.9m.
