From Vicky Jones and Phoebe Waller-Bridge of DryWrite and BAFTA-winning Emily Leo
LONDON – February 22, 2017 – Entertainment One (eOne), with Vicky Jones and Phoebe Waller-Bridge under their DryWrite banner, today announced new series Run. Written by Jones (Killing Eve) with Waller-Bridge (Fleabag, Solo: A Star Wars Story) in a recurring role, Run is among DryWrite’s inaugural television series, following a string of audience- and critically-acclaimed theatrical productions. The announcement was made by Mark Gordon, eOne’s President and Chief Content Officer, Film, Television and Digital at eOne’s annual Drama Preview this morning in London.
Run is a romantic-comedic-thriller about ex-lovers who made a pact 15 years ago that if they ever needed to escape life, they could send each other a simple text message – “RUN” – and impulsively disappear together. Run is their story. Jones and Waller-Bridge will executive produce alongside Emily Leo of Wigwam Films (BAFTA-winning, Under the Shadow) also serving as executive producer.

“We are delighted to work with DryWrite on this provocative new project. Vicky and Phoebe’s unique voices and talent for creating boundary-pushing original characters have made them bold creative and critical successes on the screen and stage. We look forward to joining forces with them on this intriguing premise that will undoubtedly capture audiences’ attention,” said Pancho Mansfield, eOne's President, Global Scripted Programming, Television.
The series will be spearheaded by Carolyn Newman and Polly Williams for eOne.
