ENTERTAINMENT ONE ANNOUNCES START OF PRODUCTION ON NEW TRAVEL CUISINE SERIES,
ONE NIGHT STAND WITH ANNIE SIBONNEY
Series to Air on Discovery World Canada and Discovery Asia
Toronto / Los Angeles –December 3, 2013 – Leading independent studio, Entertainment One Television (eOne) has commenced production on ONE NIGHT STAND WITH ANNIE SIBONNEY, a new 6 x 30 travel cuisine series hosted by international Gastronomad Annie Sibonney (From Spain with Love), it was announced today by Loren Mawhinney, Vice President, Factual Development. The series has been picked up by Discovery World Canada and Discovery Asia.
ONE NIGHT STAND WITH ANNIE SIBONNEY follows night-reveler Annie Sibonney as she travels the world’s greatest food and nightlife cities including Montreal, Tel Aviv, Barcelona, and Charleston among others to uncover the best late night eats while exploring the history, culture, music and rituals of each city. Annie’s tasty trysts start with happy hour and continue through dinner, dessert and late night cravings before her final rendezvous - the no-shame morning after breakfast.
Produced by Dale Burshtein and eOne and developed in association with Discovery World Canada and the participation of Rogers Cable Network Fund, ONE NIGHT STAND WITH ANNIE SIBONNEY is executive produced by Annie Sibonney, Burshtein, Loren Mawhinney and Margaret O’Brien. eOne handles the international distribution rights to the series.
Previously, Burshtein & Sibonney teamed up on the highly-acclaimed series From Spain with Love which the Chicago Tribune hailed as “one of the best shows out there right now” and was listed in New York’s Grub Street Magazine by intrepid world traveler Anthony Bourdain as “a stunningly good show.” The series earned Burshtein a Canadian Screen Award for Best Direction and the DOP Jason Tan a Canadian Screen Award for Best Photography.
